JENNIFER S. LEO,
Partner

VP Client Services


Mrs. Leo has been in the engineering field for over 20 years starting her career as an engineering recruiter. She moved on to a forensic engineering firm where she became partner and was successful in building long-term client relationships and seeing the company grow to a national presence. Mrs. Leo has hands-on experience as a claims adjuster working daily claims and has been closely involved with a multitude of catastrophe events including hurricanes Sandy, Matthew, Harvey, Irma, Florence, and Michael, as well as flood events throughout the U.S. In addition, she has a proven track record of developing long-term business relationships in the U.S. and London markets. Mrs. Leo is a graduate from the University of Florida and resides in the West Palm, FL area.

J. DARREN BALENTINE,

Mr. Balentine has over 30 years of experience in project management, structural inspections, forensic engineering management and consulting, residential and commercial construction, claims adjusting oversight, vetting of engineers, claims systems design, and Catastrophe operations. Over his career, Mr. Balentine has been involved with national firms as well as startup companies including construction firms, adjusting firms, and forensic engineering firms and brings a wealth of knowledge in operations, compliance, technology, and a proven track record of first-class customer service. He has also been the guest speaker at various client and industry conferences throughout the U.S. and London markets. A graduate of N. C. State University, he resides in Charlotte, NC.

ALLYSON K. LAMEY,
Partner

Administrative Manager


Ms. Lamey has 25 years of experience as an office manager for various firms including the Army Corps of Engineers, a claim adjusting company, and several law firms where she was responsible for payroll, human resources, operations, communications, training, accounting, and client and vendor relationships. Ms. Lamey has been involved with forensic engineering for the last six years and worked as the lead project coordinator for catastrophe events such as hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Florence, Michael, and the 2016 Louisiana flooding. She is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and resides in Mobile, AL.

DONALD E. PHILLIPS, P.E.

Engineering Manager


Mr. Phillips has over 11 years of experience in structural and forensic engineering with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. His experience encompasses project management, estimation, bridge design, inspection, repair and rehabilitation of various structures. Mr. Phillips’ forensic experience includes the evaluation of residential and commercial structures for cause and origin including but not limited to: moisture intrusion, window wall system, defect and failures, storm damage, flood damage, roofing damage, maintenance issues, and foundation system inspection analysis and catastrophe response. He is located in Baltimore, MD and currently oversees our Mid-Atlantic Region.

JESSICA A. SEROTA, CMC, E.I.

Engineering Manager


Mrs. Serota has over 20 years of experience in design, construction management, civil engineering, structural engineering, and forensic engineering as well as experience in Property Condition Assessments for residential and commercial properties.

Mrs. Serota has consulting experience in design, code compliance, construction-analysis, building envelope assessments, indoor air quality and microbial analysis, plumbing failures and litigation experience including depositions and trial cases.

She is a Florida licensed Mold Assessor (MRSA 2118) and a Certified Microbial Consultant with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and is based in south Florida.

JOHN L. KEAHEY, P.E.

Engineering Manager


Mr. Keahey has over 23 years of experience in structural, mechanical and forensic engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. His experience encompasses project management, estimation, bridge design, inspection, repair and rehabilitation of various concrete, steel, masonry and wood-frame structures. Mr. Keahey has performed structural inspections on a national basis and provided on-site construction management for a variety of new buildings and additions. As a forensic engineer, he has responded to several catastrophic events including hurricane, flood, tornado and ice storms. He is located in Mobile, AL and currently oversees our Gulf Region.

T. CAREEN CRAMER, P.E.

Engineering Manager


Mrs. Cramer has over 25 years of experience in engineering failure analysis, claims management, land development engineering, and landfill design. She has litigation experience having been deposed on numerous cases as an expert witness.

Mrs. Cramer has completed over 2000 forensic engineering investigations including, but not limited to, wind and hail damage, structural failure analysis, building envelope analysis, water intrusion, flood damage, residential/commercial roofing studies, storm damage to structures, foundation damage, construction defects, building code and specification research.

Mrs. Cramer has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida and is based in the Tampa, FL area.

MARIANNE CAVENY

Administrative Assistant


Ms. Caveny has over 30 years of experience as an Office Manager and currently oversees customer service operations, project intake, collections and coordinating all of our litigation work. Ms. Caveny has been involved with forensic engineering for the last four years and interacts with all of our field engineers and clients ensuring timely communication, scheduling updates and project tracking. Ms. Caveny is based in Charlotte, NC.

CHRISTINE E. CONNER, P.E.

Engineering Manager


Mrs. Conner has over 10 years of experience in structural and forensic engineering, encompassing wood, steel, and concrete design, inspection, failure analysis, and repair of residential and commercial structures. Mrs. Conner’s forensic experience also includes the evaluation of residential and commercial structures for cause and origin including roof systems, window and wall systems, defects and failures, maintenance and code compliance, and storm damage and catastrophic events, including wind and hail, flood and surge, tornado, hurricane, and ice storms.

Mrs. Conner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. She is based in Austin, Texas, and currently oversees our Texas Region.

All engineering services offered/performed in North Carolina are done by our associated company FCG Associates of North Carolina PLLC.
